A community center was established by the Ministry of Construction in 2003.
The community center in Jessar has been operating under the youth department of the local authority since 2011. The center is usually open between the hours of 09:00 and 20:00 and is active mainly in the afternoon. It runs programs and activities in diverse fields that are suitable for the entire population, such as classes, culture and leisure, enrichment, learning, employment skills, school for parents, sports classes and environmental education. In addition, the community center operates two community anchors for afternoon activities at Elvadi and Alshataa elementary schools.
